Diversity, Equity and Inclusion – Through the immigrant lens
As a daughter of a refugee and an immigrant myself, I value the importance of Immigrant Equity and Inclusion in the workplace. I understand the overwhelming feeling of navigating the workplace due to barriers of language, culture, and status. Immigrants are especially at the highest risk of facing discrimination and mistreatment in the workplace.
I closely work with my clients to understand the organizational needs and collaboratively create a tailor-made Immigrant Equity and Inclusion training, assessment, community dialog facilitation, and coaching program for the organization conducting it. Immigrant Equity and Inclusion training makes space for immigrants in a community and workplace.
Immigrant Equity and Inclusion Process:
Assessment
Work with the leadership team, community organizers, staff, or human resources to assess the organization's cultural competency by pre-and post-assessing beliefs, biases, and policies.
Awareness
Through training and collaborative open conversations, we will identify the barriers and how cultural differences may present barriers to immigrant integration in the workplace.
Facilitated Dialogue
Reflect on individual and organizational responsibility to take action by committing to time and resources
